The Legal Committee

The EFET Legal Committee, chaired by Michaela Duve with support from Aygul Adamson and Sonia Auguscik, coordinate all legal matters within EFET. 

EFET develops a suite of legal documents to bring down the costs and risks associated with trading in the European market.  For example, the EFET standard contract is the basis on which a majority of physical power is traded.  The EFET Legal Committee ensures that these contracts, and the annexes to them, are efficiently managed and develops new products based on members’ needs. 

A number of Working Groups and Task Forces support the work of the Legal Committee, including:

    • EFET Templates Development & Maintenance Working Group;
    • Power Purchase Agreement Standardisation Working Group;
    • Biogas Standardisation Working Group;
    • Hydrogen Standardisation Working Group;
    • LNG Trading Working Group;
    • Contract Digitalisation Working Group;
    • Legal Opinions Review Working Group;
    • Support and Cross-Committee Cooperation;
    • Insolvency Law Reform Task Force;
    • Emergency Measures & Sanctions Task Force;
    • Green Certificates Task Force.
